Visitor Visa Options
Tourist Stream (Subclass 600)
For holidays, sightseeing, and visiting family and friends in Australia. Can be applied for from outside Australia or, in limited circumstances, from within Australia. Stay periods of up to 3, 6, or 12 months may be granted depending on your circumstances.
Business Visitor Stream (Subclass 600)
For short-term business activities such as attending meetings, conferences, negotiations, or exploratory business visits. Work is not permitted — this stream is for business visitor activities only, not for taking up employment.
Electronic Travel Authority (Subclass 601)
Available to eligible passport holders (including USA, UK, Canada, Japan, and others) for tourism or short-term business activities. Allows multiple visits of up to three months each within a 12-month period. Applied for electronically through a travel agent, airline, or the Australian ETA app.
eVisitor (Subclass 651)
Available to eligible European passport holders for tourism or business visitor activities. Allows multiple visits of up to three months each within a 12-month period. Applied for online at no charge.
